Korean sculptor Lila Jang has a vision, and what an insanely surreal vision it is. The artist makes 18th-century French styled furniture with a twist. There’s the canapé, with half of its legs making for the ceiling and crawling up the adjacent wall; and the seriously puffed-up armchair that looks impossible to sit in unless you are just as impossibly wafer-thin. These are inspired by her everyday life: living in a tiny Parisian apartment in Paris, Jang found joy in escaping monotony by bending furniture into shape so these could fit into the tiny space.
