The proud owners of beards and mustaches are a special breed of people who, if they are to be believed, usually started growing them because they were too lazy to shave but often end up spending precious hours taking real good care of their facial follicles.
Well, every year in New Orleans, the bearded and the mustached, with their appreciative fans in tow, gather to compete in the US National Beard and Mustache Championships. Seeing how the beards and mustaches are so carefully styled and coiffed, they are definitely treated no less than most of our crowning glory.
