Is this great or what? When marrying couple Michael and April Wolber arrived at their wedding ceremony in Bend, Oregon, they did not quite expect an uninvited guest — a dangerously close wildfire from six miles away — to head in their direction. Which could only mean two things: the ceremony took place quickly with firefighters evacuating wedding guests to a safer spot for the reception right after, and equally fast thinking by photographer Josh Newton, who took these pictures of the couple against the dramatic backdrop.
That’s one for the family album and a story for the grandkids, to be sure.
