I wish my dad drew cool illustrations on my lunch bag instead of, you know, not drawing cool illustrations on my lunch bag. Graphic designer, illustrator, and all-around awesome dad Bryan Dun has been drawing on his kid’s lunch bags every day for the past 2 years.
He spends around 30 minutes a day making the cartoons, drawing them during lunch, then coloring them after the kids’ bedtime. He then takes a photo of before handing it to his son.
Recently, his kid just finished first grade, prompting him to share his achievement with the reddit community, ‘I draw all the time, I decided his bags were good practice. Tough material to work on, and it would motivate me to keep doing something different every day’.
The adorable lunch bag art has even bagged (no pun intended) the admiration of his son’s classmates and teachers, who all have taken home an illustration at one point. Now, I believe it’s time to hand out the ‘Best
Dad in the World’ mug now.
