Start spreading the news! In New York, mothers with deep pockets are now hiring professional organizers to pack their kids’ trunks for summer camp. It sure takes the rough in the rough-n-tumble of summer camps to an entirely different level! What gives? Apparently, these mummies with money want to recreate their children’s bedrooms within their bunks at camp. The directive issued is to fit in all the comforts of home in the luggage, including scented candles and 1,000-thread count sheets. According to Barbara Reich of Resourceful Consultants, clients would say, ‘I need to touch and feel the sheets for softness’.
The packing of each bag is a 4-hour operation and is billed at $250 an hour. Mums who think summer camp is about character building had better think twice again.
