It all started when Liz Salcedo wanted to keep her phone charged. She created her first phone-charging kit with spare iPhone cables and a dock made from moldable plastic, cut the lining in a purse, and sewed the whole thing in. It was only when her friends and family kept asking her to fix their bags with in-built chargers, that she decided to mass-produce her solution as the Everpurse. While the 2013 collection — designed with two Chicago-based fashion houses Laudi Vidni and 1154 Lill Studio — is entirely sold out, you can now pre-order a minimalistic Mini or a clutch from the site.
