Rhythms of Youth: the world’s longest and largest 3d street painting
‘Rhythms of Youth’ is a 3D street painting by renowned Chinese artist Yang Yongchun. What makes this painting so special? Well, you know, the Guinness World Records only recognizes it as the largest and longest 3D street painting, or anamorphic painting, at 2,600 meters. No biggie.
Unveiled at the Nanjing branch of the Communication University of China, the 365-meter painting virtually takes up the whole expanse of the street. ‘It took my team more than 20 days to finish the painting on the ground. Every day, we worked on it from daybreak when we could barely tell the colors apart until it turned too dark to see anything. We’ve devoted all of our time, energy and attention to this painting’, said Yang Yongchun.
The painting, which contains images of the Nanjing and Yangtze landscape, is dedicated to the upcoming 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games.
