Zack Danger Brown’s dream was simple: to make some potato salad. In order to make potato salad, he needed $10. So he turned to Kickstarter for funding. As of writing, his potato salad project has become one of Kickstarter’s most funded projects in history, raising $21,776 – [EDIT: Now $68,500!] – 6850 times his original funding goal – with 24 days to go!
His pitch to potential backers was simple but effective – “I’m making potato salad."
His reward tiers includes backers getting a thank you note on the website, a shout out of their names as Brown cooks the potato salad, a potato salad haiku, a live viewing of the cooking event, and a bite of the salad.
