Dazzling 3D recreations of the Futurama universe

Dazzling 3D recreations of the Futurama universe
We all remember Futurama, Matt Groening’s second brainchild and sparkly younger brother to The Simpsons. Although no new episodes are in the mix, or have been for a while, the show still sits in the collective memories of teenagers and twenty-somethings the world over.
In lieu of the appearance of new official Futurama episodes, uber-fan and designer Alexey Zakharov has created these dazzling 3D recreations of the bustling Futurama universe we remember so fondly. Sadly we don’t see Fry, Leela or any other characters (probably due to fears of copyright infringement), but Zakharov certainly gives an eyeful of the recognisable Planet Express delivery ship and much more besides.
If you’re not already weeping over the past or writing Mr Groening a pleading tweet, perhaps this second vid will do the trick.
We don’t know about you, but we sure are grateful to Alexey Zakharov for bringing us back into the 31st Century with these visceral 3D productions of New New York.
